The ENT Scientific Club is an English-division student organization within Collegium Medicum dedicated to introducing students to the field of Otolaryngology (ENT). Our mission is to provide students with insight into the ENT profession while developing strong academic foundations and practical clinical skills.
We welcome students from 1st to 6th year who are interested in exploring otolaryngology, regardless of prior experience.
Our Activities
- Members of the ENT Scientific Club participate in a wide range of academic and clinical activities, including:
- Monthly ward rounds in the Otolaryngology Department
- Research opportunities with active involvement in scientific projects
- Hands-on skills sessions, learning ENT physical examinations and the use of specialized ENT equipment
- Observation of ENT surgeries
- Student-led presentations and talks
- Journal Club, where recent scientific articles are critically discussed
- Educational quizzes with prizes, designed to reinforce learning in an engaging way
Our monthly meetings typically begin with a ward round, followed by a structured meeting. During these sessions, we present and discuss ongoing research projects, clinical cases, and current literature. Students may also participate in hospital duty hours, accompanying physicians on patient rounds, observing a variety of ENT cases, and gaining practical clinical experience.
Research & Achievements
In the 2024/2025 academic year, our club made significant progress in the field of Otolaryngology, including:
- Publication of research papers in respected scientific journals
- Participation of club members in international medical conferences across Europe
Our primary focus remains on advancing innovative research while continuously improving our clinical competencies.
Currently, the ENT Scientific Club has 34 active members and five ongoing research projects, with more planned in the near future.
