Whom should I contact if I can’t come during the office opening hours?

Write an e-mail to stncmumk@gmail.com or a private message at the fan page of the Student Scientific Society. Please do not contact STN Board members through their private profiles, as it might delay the reply or lead to unnecessary confusion

Does everyone need to submit a membership application form?

Yes. When becoming a member of the Student Research Club (even a newly formed one), you need to apply for membership in the Student Scientific Society. The number of submitted application forms must equal the number of Research Clubs which you have joined

Does a new president have to submit any documents?

Yes. A notice about the change of the president of a Research Club, together with contact information (e-mail address, phone number), must be submitted to the office of the Student Scientific Society. This ensures effective communication with a given Research Club and updated information and documentation

General assembly

Who participates in the assembly? – The delegate or the president of a given Research Club.

Is participation mandatory? – Yes, it is obligatory to participate in the assembly. Presence lists are made at each meeting.

Who can vote? – The representative of a given Research Club is eligible to vote. Each Research Club has one vote.

What topics can be discussed? – Anything related to the activity of the Student Scientific Society – no stress 😉

Cooperation between Research Clubs

Are Research Clubs allowed to run joint research projects? – Of course, cooperation is more than welcome 🙂

How should such cooperation be described the annual activity report? – The same as with any other research project. Joint projects do not require any special modifications within the activity report.

Is it obligatory to participate in events organised by the Student Scientific Society?

Participation in STN events is not obligatory, but it is appreciated. Please mind that there is a loyalty program for Research Clubs which is connected with overall activity. Such involvement might be taken into account when e.g. distributing funds.

If a member resigns, does the Student Scientific Society need to be notified?

Yes. Member withdrawal should be reported. It Is enough to do it via an e-mail to the president of a given Research Club.

How to establishing a Student Research Club?

Is it possible to receive funding, e.g. for conference-related expenses, if a Research Club was created during an academic year?

Of course! You can – an even should – be active from the very beginning. In case of reopening a previously created Research Club, you should inform the Student Scientific Society in writing – a form template will be provided soon.
